New Paradigm Investment (co-CEOs Bae Sang-seung and Park Je-hyun), a TIPS operator designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, announced on the 15th that it had made a pre-Series A investment in Nosework, a nanotechnology-based pet healthcare startup.

“We expect Nosework to transform how pet owners address their pets’ health concerns and become a leading healthcare brand in Korea by launching differentiated products,” said Park Je-hyun, co-CEO of New Paradigm Investment. “We will provide comprehensive support, including recommending Nosework for TIPS next year and co-investing in subsequent rounds. Nosework was selected for the 2022 New Paradigm Baby Unicorn Growth Program.”

“With this investment, we plan to expand our ranges of supplements and prescription pet food, broaden our domestic online and offline sales channels, and pursue overseas sales channels by entering additional Southeast Asian and Asian markets,” said Nosework CEO Jang Hyun-deok.

Founded in 2017, Nosework is a pet healthcare startup that manufactures and sells nanotechnology-based hypoallergenic pet supplements, prescription food, treats, and toys. Since its founding, the company has successfully launched its pet health supplement brand Nosework (NOSEWORK) and its specialist pet supplement brand Petsheal (PETSHEAL).

The company operates its own online store, Petpning, and targets the pet market through around 200 veterinary clinics nationwide and retailers including CU, CJ Olive Young, Lotte Mart, E-Mart, Artbox, Lotte Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, Coupang, and KakaoTalk.

With a research and development partnership with Dankook University College of Pharmacy, Nosework uses patented technology to produce and sell all-in-one dog care products for puppies through senior dogs, joint care products targeting the kneecap, and all-in-one cat care products for kittens through senior cats.

Nosework developed Fenovis, a hypoallergenic supplement with high palatability that requires no added meat. Using micro-emulsification and micro-suspension technologies to break down ingredients to the nanoscale, the company increased functional ingredients’ absorption rate by up to 255% and achieved material stability of up to 198%.

“We aim to grow into a global company that shapes trends among pet owners, drawing on our proprietary patents and technology—not simply a pet supplement company,” said Nosework CEO Jang Hyun-deok. “With this investment, we plan to expand our ranges of supplements and prescription pet food, broaden our domestic online and offline sales channels, and pursue overseas sales channels by entering additional Southeast Asian and Asian markets.”
