AI Dental Solutions Company Acrial Raises ₩8 Billion in Pre-Series A Funding; Intraoral Scanner “Arcscan” Draws Attention

AI healthcare company Acrial announced on the 16th that it raised a total of ₩8 billion in pre-Series A funding from investors including DSC Investment and SDB Investment. The funding brings Acrial’s total investment to ₩14.1 billion and reflects recognition of its proprietary technology and global growth potential.

Acrial has successfully developed in-house the intraoral scanner “Arcscan”, a product in a dental field with high technological barriers. Arcscan delivers premium performance and, thanks to its proprietary design, is also price competitive. It has obtained U.S. FDA and European CE MDR approvals, laying the groundwork for global commercialization.

Intraoral scanners are essential equipment in the era of dental AI, serving as the starting point for most dental AI services, including AI diagnostics and CAD design. Acrial is one of the few companies with a full-stack structure, developing everything in-house from software engines to hardware manufacturing.

KAIST Chair Professor Jinwoo Shin leads the company’s AI research, advancing its “3D foundation model specialized for oral structures.” With this investment, Acrial plans to enhance its AI models and establish a U.S. subsidiary next year, accelerating global expansion focused on the United States and Europe.
