RoboRevolution, an Austin, Texas-based startup specializing in AI and soft manipulators, said on the 4th that it had signed a strategic agreement with robot components maker Aidin Robotics to strengthen their competitiveness in the global robotics market.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine RoboRevolution’s AI and manipulation capabilities with Aidin Robotics’ core component technology to pursue a range of collaborations, including ▲ product development and business cooperation ▲ component supply and joint solution development ▲ and joint expansion into global markets. Going beyond short-term cooperation, they plan to strengthen cross-selling and joint marketing over the long term as they seek to become a top-tier global robotics company.

RoboRevolution develops semi-humanoid robots powered by AI and soft manipulators and is actively conducting proof-of-concept projects with companies in Korea and abroad. Aidin Robotics offers a range of key robot components, including force/torque sensors that combine innovative pricing and performance. It is building its presence in the collaborative robot market while expanding into components for humanoid robots.

The companies will also improve customer support by jointly leveraging their global locations and service and logistics infrastructure, while maximizing synergies between components and solutions to create new business opportunities.

An Aidin Robotics representative said, “This collaboration is an important opportunity to present a global model in which components and solutions grow together by combining the strengths of both companies.” A RoboRevolution representative added, “Aidin Robotics’ innovative sensors will enable our robots to perform tasks with greater precision and efficiency.”
