MK Co., a startup specializing in the automotive aftermarket, announced on the 31st that it has developed the Oasis sterilizer, powered by an app-based remote control system, and will officially launch the “Oasis Visible Sterilization Solution Platform.”
MK’s new Oasis platform is a differentiated space-disinfection solution that combines the powerful sterilizing properties of ozone (O3) with ICT and app-based remote control. Tests conducted by a KOLAS-accredited organization confirmed its sterilization and deodorizing performance, with a 99.999% sterilization rate.
The Oasis platform remotely controls a sterilizer connected to a vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, enabling fast, contactless disinfection without handling disinfectants. Users can operate the app from outside the vehicle to safely and transparently disinfect against viruses, fine dust and other harmful substances. The platform has transformed disinfection processes by integrating equipment and systems into a unified management solution.
“Following Cargle windshield washer fluid, MK has launched Oasis, an ICT-based remote vehicle disinfection service and a new business model designed to meet demand in the disinfection market,” said MK CEO Byun Moo-young. “We plan to diversify our mobility aftermarket portfolio by expanding beyond cars to include rental vehicles, buses, taxis and other vehicle types.”
Oasis is a “visible disinfection platform” that lets users transparently view and share disinfection results, giving them peace of mind. Reports are automatically sent to customers by text message or social media, making disinfection records accessible and shareable anytime, anywhere. Anyone can also easily check a vehicle’s disinfection records by searching its license plate number or scanning the QR code affixed to it.
“Traditional disinfection management relied on chemicals and staff, resulting in significant variations in service quality and consuming considerable time and money. Because results and thoroughness depended on the individual carrying out the disinfection, management was difficult and cumbersome,” Byun said. “Oasis is an innovative, comprehensive disinfection and sterilization platform that uses non-consumable ozone to overcome the drawbacks of conventional cleaning agents, fogging and spray disinfection.” He added, “Once the disinfection equipment is connected to the vehicle, sensors automatically assess conditions such as vehicle size, temperature and humidity. The system then sets ozone concentrations in stages to suit the vehicle’s interior and automatically performs disinfection, delivering consistently high-quality results anytime, anywhere.”
