Tech Seoul, a new online English-language news platform where startups write and publish their own articles, will launch in beta on March 6.
Tech Seoul is a newly launched online English-language news service from East Orion, a U.S. marketing firm and sister company of startup media outlet K Startup Valley. It is the world’s first platform where startups can write and publish articles about their companies, services and products. Startups can now promote themselves online directly, without going through a media outlet.
Startups can also use Tech Seoul’s AI technology to turn their written news into English-language video news, narrated on the spot by AI anchors.
Tech Seoul is the first English-language outlet to deliver Korean startup news from New York to audiences in the U.S. and around the world. Articles published on Tech Seoul will be distributed free of charge to VCs, startup media outlets and bloggers in the New York area.
“A new kind of online English-language news platform—the first of its kind in the world—is launching here in New York to help Korean startups achieve their long-sought goal of going global,” said Thomas Park, head of the Tech Seoul business unit. “Using Tech Seoul’s AI technology, startups can create video news in 30 seconds and promote themselves on YouTube and TikTok.”
Tech Seoul also plans to launch two programs in September to help Korean startups expand globally: the one- or two-week New York Launchpad program, which supports entry into the U.S. market in partnership with VCs and investors in the New York area; and Korchallenge (Korea Startup Challenge), a startup competition in which 20 to 30 Korean startups will come to New York to compete.
