The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA will hold an online briefing on cold-chain logistics support in North America on the 9th of this month. The event is aimed at small and midsize companies exporting fresh food to North America. It will introduce KOTRA’s local cold-chain logistics infrastructure and explain its support services.

At the event, KOTRA will provide details on the status of its cold-chain logistics infrastructure in North America and its logistics support services. Amazon Global Selling Korea will also take part as a speaker, leading a session on trends in the U.S. food industry and how food companies can sell on Amazon.

KOTRA has built logistics infrastructure at 112 locations in 55 countries worldwide, including 10 cold-chain logistics centers in the United States. Its services include temperature-controlled storage, specialized packaging, labeling, refrigerated delivery and returns pickup. Selected companies can use dedicated cold-chain fulfillment[1] services at KOTRA’s logistics centers in North America. KOTRA will also cover up to 14 million won per company in service costs and help companies list their products in Amazon’s food category.

“Building cold-chain logistics infrastructure is essential to turning global enthusiasm for K-Food into exports,” said KOTRA President Yoo Jeong-yeol. “We will spare no effort to help KOTRA’s overseas joint logistics centers serve as launchpads for K-Food’s expansion into global markets.”
