VideoMonster, a startup offering video production solutions, announced on the 16th that it has launched a mobile app. After launching its PC-based web service in June 2019, VideoMonster has continued to grow rapidly over the past nine months. The company expects growth to accelerate further following the mobile app launch.

With the launch, VideoMonster is the only video production service accessible across all user devices, including PCs and mobile devices, as well as the web and apps. The significant improvement in usability and accessibility is expected to support sustained growth.

VideoMonster plans to expand its current library of about 1,400 templates to 4,000 by the end of this year. It also plans to offer localized services in four languages and increase video production sales from about 10,000 currently to 150,000 by year-end.

The app offers the same content as the PC web service: 24,000 Getty Images videos and 2.4 million photos. In May, the company also plans to add emoticons and video stickers to maintain its competitive edge in ease of video production.

VideoMonster CEO Jeon Dong-hyeok said, “With the launch of the mobile app, we’re ready to offer a full lineup of services. Existing web service users can now edit videos in a wider range of settings, and we expect personal use to increase significantly through mobile. We’re currently preparing services in English and Japanese. Developing an automatic translation solution for our library of about 1,400 template assets will enable full foreign-language support, allowing us to begin expanding in earnest into global markets.”

All of VideoMonster’s video production services are offered free of charge in Korea with no conditions or restrictions, and commercial use is also permitted.
