Grumeunedo, which operates UConnect, an automated YouTube influencer marketing platform, announced on the 7th the official launch of UConnect Shop, an influencer commerce platform.
UConnect is a YouTube marketing platform with Korea’s largest network of about 1,970 YouTube creators. Using ad tech to optimize performance, it handles all aspects of YouTube marketing, including influencer campaigns in Korea and abroad and management of branded YouTube channels. Since launching in March 2017 as Korea’s first service of its kind, it has run about 1,840 YouTube marketing campaigns for more than 500 leading companies at home and abroad.
UConnect plans to apply its experience and expertise in branded content production and digital marketing to YouTube media commerce, drawing on a network of 2,550 advertisers and nearly 2,000 Korean YouTubers. In February, it sold out a limited-edition kitchen set from Hanssem, one of Korea’s leading furniture and home goods companies, in collaboration with food YouTuber Hwani’s Kitchen. UConnect aims to offer brands launching new products a cost-effective, one-stop solution for influencer content production, marketing and sales, working with micro- to mega-influencers across categories including food and beverage, beauty, home goods, fashion and IT.
Kim Dae-ik, CEO of Grumeunedo, said, “YouTube is evolving beyond content consumption and information discovery into a search and media platform. Our goal is to bridge brands and influencers that have established mutual trust and authenticity—recommending reliable products to consumers while helping brands cost-effectively secure content, drive traffic to product pages and generate sales, all in one place.”
