Creatrip, which operates a platform providing travel information in Korea for international visitors, announced the launch of “Korea Direct,” a video-based shopping show featuring Korean products presented by Korean and international influencers, with purchases handled on viewers’ behalf.

Last month, Creatrip launched Korea Direct, a proxy-buying service that helps international customers shop for Korean products more easily. Over the past month, it has handled purchases of about 40 different products for customers in Chinese-speaking markets, including Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Creatrip provides trusted, ad-free content and has built a strong following among international readers. Recently, its combined subscriber base across social media channels including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, where it shares Korean news and trend-focused content, surpassed 200,000.

Building on that audience, Creatrip launched Korea Direct, working with well-known Korean and international influencers to produce and publish video content. Through its own curation, the service aims to introduce vetted products and deliver accurate information without exaggeration.

In test broadcasts ahead of the official launch, influencers Alun from Taiwan and Jung Young, along with actors Kim Joo-won and Lee Hee-jae, introduced quilts and snacks from traditional markets. The broadcasts drew more than 120,000 viewers in total.

Creatrip CEO Hyemin Lim said, “Since we launched Korea Direct last month, we’ve been flooded with inquiries about related products, especially from Creatrip social media subscribers and fans. We’ll build trust by sharing authentic information while also offering plenty of entertaining content.”

Creatrip introduces a range of Korean products through videos and blogs, including fashion items worn by popular Korean celebrities, cosmetics, food and kitchenware. It plans to expand the service to support English, Japanese and Thai by the first half of this year.
