Tourlive Co., Ltd., which operates a travel audio guide platform offering audio content about destinations around the world, announced the launch of the Tourlive Jeju Audio Tour Contest.

Now in its second year, the Audio Tour Contest is open to anyone who can turn travel experiences into audio content, including current and former tour guides in Jeju.

Topics can include tours of art galleries, museums, landmarks, and cities, as well as unique travel experiences. Applicants may submit multiple pieces of content.

Entries can be submitted through the Tourlive contest website through August 31. Content that passes the review will be listed and sold as travel products on Tourlive and MyRealTrip, with creators guaranteed a share of sales revenue.

Founded in 2019, Tourlive is a mobile audio travel guide service offering more than 200 products across a range of themes in 68 cities worldwide.

Building on this, the company received seed funding last year from Primer Sazze Partners, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, and MyRealTrip.

Tourlive’s service stands out for its storytelling-driven explanations, created by experts in their fields, including local tour guides, architecture graduates, museum docents, and travel writers.

The service has surpassed 100,000 cumulative users. Women in their 30s and travelers with children account for 70% of all users.

“Jeju has many attractions, but travelers have few opportunities to hear engaging stories about them,” said Tourlive CEO Noh Kyung-ah. “We hope this contest will help us build a diverse range of content about Jeju and give people with knowledge and talent—but no way to monetize travel content—a valuable opportunity to earn income.”
