Mobile healthcare startup Lemon Healthcare announced on the 1st that it has launched “Claim God,” an ultra-simple app that combines remote issuance of medical certificates and claims for indemnity health insurance, with no paperwork required.
Claim God lets users submit claims remotely to any of South Korea’s 37 property and life insurers by sending relevant medical data, without the complicated step of photographing and submitting supporting documents. Users can also easily review and manage their claim history by insurer. The app also issues medical certificates, allowing users to obtain supporting documents electronically without visiting a hospital and use them for various purposes.
Claim God is an upgraded version of “Ttukttak Claim,” an app that provides indemnity insurance claims through Lemon Healthcare’s patient apps for hospitals. Its “Find a Hospital” feature lets patients locate and register a hospital where they received care among roughly 50 tertiary and general hospitals connected to Lemon Healthcare’s apps, then submit a simple, one-stop claim for treatment at that hospital.
In addition to simplified indemnity insurance claims, Claim God also plans to offer online genetic testing and results, health coaching based on genetic analysis, and personalized recommendations for health supplements based on genetic results.
“As remote services have become the new standard since the spread of COVID-19, we’re launching an app that dramatically simplifies indemnity insurance claims through a fully remote process,” said Hong Byung-jin, CEO of Lemon Healthcare. “With an extensive network spanning major hospitals and insurers in South Korea, we will continue to develop innovative remote services that bring finance and healthcare together through mobile technology.”
