TradeLens, Korea’s largest import-export logistics platform, announced on the 1st that it had secured new investment from Surim Venture Capital, Capital One and A Ventures. With the new funding, TradeLens plans to accelerate the digital transformation of import-export logistics by developing a wider range of logistics technologies and pursuing the market more aggressively.

Founded in 2015, TradeLens has established itself as a leading import-export logistics platform in Korea, launching a series of pioneering services through technology development in a market that had lagged significantly in digitalization.

TradeLens’s flagship services—ZIMGO, an integrated cargo management system, and ShipGo, a cargo monitoring system—are considered difficult to enter and operate because they require extensive data collection and analysis. Few companies worldwide have successfully commercialized systems of this kind.

These online services improve the efficiency and visibility of companies’ import and export operations. They are also available as SaaS, making integration with existing business systems easy and allowing users to check, manage and carry out operations anytime, anywhere. Adoption is growing rapidly, particularly among large companies such as E-Land, Doosan Infracore and LS-Nikko Copper.

TradeLens plans to use the investment to help more importers, exporters, freight forwarders and shipping lines quantify their data and develop new services based on it. With interest in logistics digitalization growing, the company also plans to increase hiring and pursue the market aggressively to gain and expand its position, accelerating digitalization across the logistics industry.

“As a company that has been developing digital technologies for import-export logistics ahead of the curve, we will do our utmost to provide solutions to the many companies working through their digital transformation,” said TradeLens CEO Park Min-gyu.
