VideoMonster, a video tech startup, announced on the 1st that it has officially launched its service in Japan. Since launching in 2019, VideoMonster has continued to grow rapidly over the past year and expects its Japanese launch to further accelerate its global expansion.
VideoMonster said the launch goes beyond simply translating the service menus and UI into Japanese. It has fully localized all user-facing content, including template demo videos, sample copy in the editing UI, and input fields, into Japanese.
“Our in-house video template localization solution enabled us to prepare for a rapid launch in Japan,” said VideoMonster CEO Jeon Dong-hyeok. “We automatically translated around 2,000 templates and generated demo videos, cutting work that would take video designers three to four months to complete manually down to three to four [unclear in source]. This should allow us to begin expanding in earnest into global markets, including Southeast Asia.”
Starting with Japan, VideoMonster plans to enter Vietnam and Indonesia by the end of this year, followed by Thailand, India, China, and Arabic-speaking markets by next year.
VideoMonster offers all its video creation services free of charge, with no conditions or restrictions. The service supports all devices, including its PC web service and mobile apps for AOS and iOS. The company plans to launch a fully automated editing solution powered by artificial intelligence next year and become a leading global video tech company.
