Redwit, developer of “GuNo,” a fast and easy-to-use electronic lab notebook service, announced on the 10th that it had secured additional investment from Block Crafters. The investment amount was not disclosed.
Redwit’s GuNo is a private blockchain-based electronic lab notebook solution. Simply photographing existing paper notebooks or tablet notes automatically converts them into electronic lab notebooks that meet the requirements for government-funded projects.
Lee Geon-hee, team lead at Block Crafters, which led the investment, said, "The requirements for a research notebook to be recognized align well with blockchain’s inherent features of timestamping and signing, so we believed the service could be successfully commercialized. Based on that experience, we also saw strong potential to enter the remote authentication market using blockchain technology, which is why we invested.”
CEO Kim Ji-won said, “With this additional investment, we will work with Block Crafters to expand the service as a blockchain offering and begin preparing for global expansion.”
