GoPizza, a single-serve pizza franchise, announced on the 21st that it reached monthly sales of SGD 110,000 just eight months after entering Singapore.
GoPizza entered Singapore last April and recorded monthly sales of SGD 110,000 (about KRW 100 million) in December, eight months later. Singapore has been gradually easing COVID-19 restrictions since June, allowing gatherings of up to eight people and dine-in service. As a result, more customers are visiting GoPizza’s stores, driving average monthly sales growth of more than 20%. The company also credits the expansion of delivery service across the country for its rapid growth.
The global popularity of K-food has also contributed to growth. In addition to signature items such as Super Combination Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza, GoPizza is appealing to customers around the world with specialty offerings featuring Korean flavors popular with locals, including Seasoned Chicken Pizza and Bulgogi Pizza.
GoPizza currently operates five stores in major Singapore locations, including the Lau Pa Sat international financial district, Tampines One, IMM, Yishun Park Hawker Centre (YPHC), and Midtown. Midtown, which opened in January this year, is generating more than 1.5 times the sales of other stores, pointing to faster growth for GoPizza in Singapore.
In February, the company plans to open its 100th store at Suntec City, Singapore’s largest mixed-use shopping mall. Home to multinational companies, a convention center, and hotels, Suntec City also hosts a range of global dining brands. GoPizza plans to use the location to take another step toward becoming a global company.
GoPizza CEO Lim Jae-won said, “Despite COVID-19, GoPizza has continued to grow sales every month in Singapore, demonstrating its global competitiveness as a K-food brand. In the first half of this year, we plan to open additional stores in India and Hong Kong as well as Singapore, and expand investment in Southeast Asia.”
