SparkPlus, a shared-office provider, announced on the 26th that it will open 14 membership-only lounges, called SPLounge, across Seoul next month and is accepting advance membership reservations.
SPLounge is an affordable, practical workspace located throughout Seoul for easy access. These business lounges offer a compact selection of essentials, including desks and meeting rooms, without private offices. Members can use them whenever they need without navigating complex contracts.
They offer a new option for individuals who need a flexible work environment, including solo entrepreneurs and freelancers. Unlike leased offices, SPLounge requires no long-term commitment: users can pay monthly for workspace and business support services such as office equipment and Wi-Fi, wherever they choose to work. With locations ranging from residential neighborhoods to business districts, SPLounge is also expected to meet companies’ demand for satellite offices.
Another advantage is the flexibility to choose a space based on the nature and purpose of the work. Options include café-style communal tables, open desks modeled on study rooms, and focus rooms. Meeting rooms can be used for business meetings as well as study groups and other small gatherings. SPLounge also offers amenities such as a canteen with unlimited coffee and tea, heating and air conditioning, and more than 170 partner benefits across areas including HR, leisure, and food and beverage.
SPLounge will open at 14 locations across Seoul, including major areas such as Gangnam, Yeoksam, Seongsu, and City Hall, with more locations planned. Four of the lounges—the first of their kind in South Korea—will be located inside subway stations in densely populated residential areas: Gongdeok, Madeul, Wangsimni, and Yeongdeungpo-gu Office. The locations reflect rising demand for workspaces close to home and are convenient to visit while traveling.
The dedicated membership, SPLounge Pass, launches on September 15. This subscription plan allows members to pay and cancel monthly, and use the SparkPlus app to enter lounges and book meeting rooms at any time.
“As SPLounge prepares to expand to locations across Seoul, it will be a key service in realizing SparkPlus’s vision of Work Anywhere,” said Mok Jin-geon, CEO of SparkPlus. “With SPLounge, people will be able to work wherever they want.”
