PABLO AIR announced on the 8th that it has partnered with Malaysia’s National Technology Innovation Sandbox (NTIS), a government agency, as an innovation and sandbox partner (IBN) for drone delivery, taking a step toward global expansion. PABLO AIR specializes in drone logistics and delivery solutions and services.
Through the partnership, PABLO AIR aims to assess the long-term viability of drone delivery services and accelerate its entry into Southeast Asia, following the United States. In April 2022, the company was selected to participate in a New York drone delivery pilot led by a consortium whose partner is EVA, a U.S. drone station developer.
PABLO AIR will work with NTIS on technology and marketing, with the goal of launching a drone delivery pilot. The two parties will pursue technical collaboration and joint marketing, including providing software and hardware; implementing technology and technical onboarding; integrating technology into daily operations; sharing the latest developments in the drone industry; evaluating products and providing customized business solutions; identifying target consumers and customers and providing access to them; and arranging exhibitions, trade fairs and events to showcase products. These efforts will help expand drone delivery services in Malaysia.
NTIS is a Malaysian government agency that provides national support for startups and high-tech companies to test products, services, business models and delivery mechanisms in real-world settings. It supports the development of innovative solutions from research and development through business-readiness stages. Companies that have partnered with NTIS include DHL, UNDP, Grab, Microsoft and AirAsia.
PABLO AIR developed PAMNet (Pablo Air Mobility Network), a system for real-time control of unmanned vehicles. PAMNet is software that integrates and manages unmanned mobility systems, including drones, unmanned ground robots, self-driving cars and unmanned trucks. Building on its logistics delivery services and PAMNet’s remote, multi-vehicle control capabilities, PABLO AIR is expanding into areas including monitoring and preventing forest disasters such as wildfires, landslides and pest infestations; developing software and hardware based on swarm flight technology; and drone shows.
“Our collaboration with NTIS is another achievement that demonstrates PABLO AIR’s international technological capabilities,” said PABLO AIR CEO Kim Young-jun. “Starting in Malaysia, we plan to expand our drone delivery services across Southeast Asia.”
