Mansion 9, a startup that manages promising artists in the art market, announced on the 21st that it has raised seed funding.

Jang Hee-jung, CEO of DTC Global Partners, which led the investment, explained: “Mansion 9 is targeting the online art trading market with a fresh approach to the art market’s key elements—spaces, people and works—and strong execution. We have high expectations for Mansion 9’s experience and capabilities, as well as the online market’s strong growth potential.”

Mansion 9 is a fast-growing startup that discovers and nurtures promising Korean artists and offers new ways to experience art through art-space operations and consulting. It has drawn attention for exhibiting emerging artists’ work at leading department stores and furniture showrooms in Korea, helping bring art within reach of a wider audience.

Mansion 9 is developing Dealing Art, a platform that will allow collectors to trade works from their collections directly with one another—a long-standing aspiration for many collectors. The company plans to facilitate peer-to-peer transactions and provide a range of art-related informational content. A beta version of Dealing Art is scheduled to launch in May this year.

Mansion 9 CEO Lee Young-sun said: “Through the Dealing Art platform, we will help people trade works from their personal collections safely and at low fees. We will also introduce NFT trading and art storage services, continuing to build a better environment for buying and enjoying art.”
