Futures Collège, which operates the knowledge business platform LIVEKLASS, announced on the 31st that it had raised ₩500 million from Impact Square.

The latest investment follows a ₩2 billion pre-Series A round in February, bringing total funding to approximately ₩2.6 billion. The continued investment in LIVEKLASS reflects confidence in its platform and growth amid the rapidly expanding creator economy worldwide.

Impact Square, which led the round, invests in ventures that deliver clear impact. Impact investing considers nonfinancial values such as social and environmental outcomes and is one branch of the global ESG (environmental, social and governance) investment movement. Guided by the vision, “We connect people who dream of transforming themselves and the world through knowledge,” LIVEKLASS is working to create an environment that closes gaps in access to education.

LIVEKLASS is a direct-to-creator (D2C) software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that lets anyone earn revenue by creating live classes, video-on-demand (VOD) content and e-books based on their knowledge, experience and expertise. The company continues to enhance the service by streamlining tasks such as student recruitment, class administration and payment management, while offering independent websites and reasonable fees.

As of May this year, the platform had surpassed 4,000 cumulative customers. It has also seen notable growth across multiple metrics, including knowledge creators receiving monthly payouts of more than ₩50 million.

Impact Square CEO Doh Hyun-myung, whose firm made the investment, said, “We are confident that Futures Collège can make an impact across the education industry, given its expertise in knowledge businesses and its strong track record of success in technology.”

Futures Collège CEO Shin Cheol-heon said, “With this investment, we plan to further develop cohort-based learning, the latest trend in online education, with a focus on learners. We will continue to develop our services and work toward becoming Korea’s leading knowledge business platform and, ultimately, a global SaaS platform.”
