Paper manufacturer Hansol Paper announced on the 26th that its eco-friendly packaging material, Green Shield, is now available on Amazon in the United States.

Starting with its Amazon launch, Hansol Paper plans to promote Green Shield to environmentally conscious customers, expand its reach in global markets, and build brand awareness.

Hansol Paper’s Green Shield eco-friendly packaging uses an environmentally friendly coating instead of plastic (PE/PP) and is recyclable. It also biodegrades within three months when landfilled.

The company plans to expand its Amazon product range beyond paper cups to include trays, plates, and molded products.

Hansol Paper has been building its position in Korea’s eco-friendly paper cup market since launching Green Shield 10-oz and 13-oz cups on its official Naver online store in Korea in October this year. With its Amazon launch, the company plans to further strengthen its online sales channels and accelerate Green Shield’s growth as a global brand.

Hansol Paper is positioning Green Shield as a flagship product in its eco-friendly packaging portfolio. It supplies the product to companies that have declared ESG management commitments, including Lotte Cinema, Hyundai Department Store, Korean Air, Ourhome, Small Cinema, and Myungrang. In September this year, it also promoted recyclable and biodegradable packaging at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas.

“With Green Shield’s launch on Amazon in the United States, we will step up our efforts to expand in the global eco-friendly market,” said Ahn Jae-ho, CEO of Hansol Paper.
