Hyundai Motor Group models win four 2025 Cars.com awards

Hyundai Motor Group said on the 8th that four models won awards in Cars.com’s 2025 Best of Awards: the Hyundai Santa Fe, Palisade, Kia EV9, and Genesis Electrified GV70.

Cars.com editors evaluate newly launched 2025 models for quality, innovation, and value, selecting winners in six categories: Best Car of 2025, Best Family Car, Best Electric Vehicle, Best Luxury Car, Best SUV, and Best Pickup Truck.

Hyundai Motor Group won in four of the six categories—the most of any automaker group—underscoring the strength of its products.

The Hyundai Santa Fe was named Best Car of 2025, recognized for its standout design, versatile use of space, and overall product quality.

“The Santa Fe impresses with its distinctive design, which maximizes versatile interior space, and innovative, family-friendly features,” said Mike Hanley, Cars.com’s senior editor. “Its smooth, comfortable ride and reasonable price make it stand out among SUVs in its class.”

The Palisade was named Best Family Car of 2025, earning high marks for its range of safety features essential to families and its spacious third row, which offers comfort and convenience for passengers.

The Kia EV9 was named Best Electric Vehicle of 2025, demonstrating the strength of Hyundai Motor Group’s electrified lineup.

Cars.com said the EV9 is a three-row electric SUV with generous range and impressive fast-charging performance. Its standout design delivers an unmatched experience for both families and EV enthusiasts.

The Genesis Electrified GV70 was recognized as an electric vehicle that combines sporty, elegant design with outstanding performance and convenience features, winning Best Luxury Car for the second consecutive year. Genesis has now been named Best Luxury Car for three years in a row, following the G90’s win in 2023.

Hyundai Motor Group said it was proud that the awards recognized its leadership and innovation in the SUV segment, adding that it would continue listening to customers’ voices and needs as it works to deliver vehicles with the highest quality and strong safety standards.

Last October, Hyundai Motor Group also demonstrated the strength of its products in Cars.com’s 2024 Top EV Picks, winning four of the five categories: the IONIQ 6 was named Top Pick: Electric Car and Top Pick: Value EV, the IONIQ 5 won Top Pick: 2-Row Electric SUV, and the EV9 took Top Pick: 3-Row Electric SUV.
