BuyingSquare, a wholesale platform company, announced on the 28th that it will host a K-pop art exhibition at VIBE TWLV, a showroom in Williamsburg, New York, operated by its U.S. subsidiary.
The exhibition is being held in collaboration with Gallery Stan, an art gallery that supports contemporary artists. From February 28 to March 31, works by six K-pop art artists will be displayed throughout the VIBE TWLV showroom.
BuyingSquare operates Catalog Shop, a product catalog-based B2B platform that makes it easy to trade wholesale goods from a wide range of global brands. The company launched the platform last October and continues to enhance it. Recently, it added promising K-fashion brands such as ORR, Enzo Blues and Codergraphy to Catalog Shop, connecting them with global buyers and supporting their efforts to expand overseas sales channels.
Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn—known as an artists’ neighborhood—VIBE TWLV is a B2B experiential brand showroom and an art space for exhibitions and events. In Williamsburg, home to major fashion houses such as Hermès and Chanel as well as top streetwear retailers including Supreme and KITH, the showroom presents products from a range of global brands, including K-fashion labels, through B2B fashion shows and retail sales. It also hosts exhibitions and events that bring new energy to the neighborhood.
The K-pop art exhibition at VIBE TWLV, titled “URBAN KAWAII: HYPER-HYBRID,” features works by six Korean pop art artists with devoted followings at home and abroad. MAWZ, BAZBON, BUWON, CONIX, YERIN and HONGMIN LEE are all represented by Gallery Stan and have made names for themselves with distinctive pop illustration, graffiti and immersive installations. The exhibition will present works that reinterpret the raw sensibility of street art alongside kawaii elements from Japan and Korea, offering a singular experience that blends Eastern and Western visual cultures.
The exhibition will run alongside VIBE TWLV’s promotions of global fashion brands. The showroom regularly sells products from leading K-brands such as Post Archive Faction, Recto and EENK, as well as global brands including Martine Rose, Mariano, Fumito Ganryu and KidSuper. Visitors can browse the pop artists’ works, explore products from various brands and purchase items on the spot.
The K-pop art works will also be available for purchase through Catalog Shop. BuyingSquare uses proprietary technology to automatically classify product data, organize it in a database and present it in catalog form, enabling B2B transactions across industry boundaries. Buyers interested in purchasing K-pop art can compare works by different artists in real time through Catalog Shop and complete their orders quickly and easily with just a few clicks.
“Our data-standardization technology lets us present any product in catalog form,” said BuyingSquare CEO Jung-hyun Choi. “VIBE TWLV is a place to display and showcase physical products, while Catalog Shop is a platform where customers can order them with just a few clicks. Together, they will deliver an omnichannel business that connects online and offline experiences. We will continue to hold K-brand fashion shows and expand into a range of new areas.”
