LG CNS is partnering with U.S. AI software company Palantir Technologies (“Palantir”) to accelerate its AX business in Korea.
On the 11th local time in the United States, LG CNS signed a strategic partnership agreement with Palantir ahead of the company’s AIPCon event. The signing ceremony was attended by LG CNS CEO and President Hyun Shin-kyoon, Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp, and other senior executives from both companies.
Palantir offers globally proven platforms, including Foundry, which integrates and refines data scattered across an organization to establish data-driven operations, and AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform), which combines generative AI with an integrated data environment to support real-time business decisions.
Under the strategic partnership, LG CNS will offer Palantir’s enterprise platforms, including Foundry and AIP, in forms tailored to each customer. To support this work, LG CNS will establish a dedicated Palantir business unit called FDE (Forward Deployed Engineering). Working closely with Palantir, the FDE unit will identify and implement high-value AX use cases across industries such as manufacturing, energy, electronics, and logistics. LG CNS plans to begin expanding the business in earnest, starting with LG Group, which is actively considering adopting Palantir’s platforms.
LG CNS has already completed a proof of concept (PoC) for applying Foundry and AIP to quality management at one LG affiliate and recently signed a contract to proceed with the project.
LG CNS has also completed internal validation of Foundry and AIP. By integrating Foundry with its own data platform and analytics capabilities, the company can analyze business and operational data in real time. It has also developed the capability to use AIP to build risk-prediction and decision-support systems. Drawing on the implementation experience gained internally, LG CNS plans to explore strategies to expand its external business.
“This strategic partnership will mark an important turning point in expanding LG CNS’s AX business to a global scale,” said Hyun Shin-kyoon, CEO and president of LG CNS. “By combining LG CNS’s industry expertise with Palantir’s AI platform capabilities, we will drive AX innovation for our customers.”
