KRM stepped up its push into the North American market by exhibiting at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2026, the world’s largest uncrewed vehicle trade show, as a production partner of Hoverfly Technologies Inc. (HTI), the leading U.S. provider of tethered drones for defense applications.
Co-hosted annually by the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and Messe Düsseldorf North America (MDNA), the event is the world’s largest trade show for drones, robotics and autonomous systems. This year’s show was held May 11–14 in Detroit, Michigan, drawing a broad range of attendees, from industry experts and government officials to companies exploring the use of drones and autonomous systems.
The exhibition also marked the official U.S. launch of the Hoverfly Elements business unit. KRM supported the launch at HTI’s booth as its drone motor and ESC (electronic speed controller) production partner, with a key goal of maximizing KRM’s brand visibility in the United States. During the show, KRM held discussions with a wide range of companies, including global suppliers of components and systems such as Lockheed Martin, the largest U.S. defense contractor; global connector maker Amphenol; and flight control systems specialist CubePilot, as well as businesses that operate finished drones.
KRM also gained firsthand insight into competitors active in the U.S. market and new motor manufacturers entering the field. The company plans to apply market feedback gathered at the show to its product development strategy and business timeline, with the aim of maximizing its market potential in the United States.
KRM also used the exhibition as a practical opportunity to map local supply chains and build relationships as it considers establishing a U.S. production facility. Given AUVSI XPONENTIAL’s reach, with industry representatives from major European and Asian countries also in attendance, the company expects the event to raise its brand awareness in global markets as well.
KRM CEO Park Gwang-sik said, “Participating in AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2026 marks a meaningful first step toward establishing KRM’s own brand positioning in the U.S. drone components market. Through our partnership with HTI, we will accelerate sales of our products and build on that momentum to steadily expand orders.”
